The services of London-based Japanese expert David Vickers have been secured for a six-month period, to assist with Landvaluescape research. David has a Masters Degree in Advanced Japanese and a keen interest in public affairs. He did his dissertation on Japan's Post-WWII economy. He is currently training to be a teacher of Japanese but in between teaching assignments is undertaking research for Modern Maps. He has a good grounding in land value taxation.
Prior to his Masters degree, David worked for five years in Japan, latterly as Project Manager for a translation company. He is well travelled throughout South East Asia.
If anyone working on property taxation, GIS, or local government finance or policy research would like translation services, they should contact David directly at david.vickers@phonecoop.coop
